Art I 10/31-11/4
Students have this week to finish perspective drawings. No sketchbook assignment this week!

Finish carving woodblock this week. Print proofs onto paper and material. Experiment with techniques.
Altered book assignment is to design "little houses" using copper tubing and polymer clay.

ART I 10/24-28
We continue into the world of Perspective this week. Monday students will work on 3 point perspectives in sketchbook. Tues - Friday we begin a large, independent drawing with perspective.
Wearable Art 10/24-28
Wearable students are carving into woodblocks to create printing plate. Monday is the first day for carving, carving will continue all week.
2/D - 3/D ART 10/24-28
Armature projects are due on Monday of this week. Any projects not completed on Monday will receive a dock in points. Tuesday we begin a clay sculpture - hopefully, the students will have a figure after only 4 days in class to sculpt. Progress grades on Friday.
ADV ART 10/24-28
We will visit with our cooperating design class Tuesday afternoon, and will be cutting into styrofoam all this week. The goal is to take a progress grade on Friday, and the basic foundation should be cut out.

ART I 10/17-21
Art I students will go over exams on Monday, then pick right back up with perspective sketches for this weeks sketchbook assignment. Sketchbook will be due on Thursday, 2 pages, one will have a number of boxes drawn in 2 pt. perspective, and then a 2nd assignment will be to draw 3 buildings in 2 pt. perspective.
Wearable Art 10/18-21
Sketches for personal icon assignments are due on Tuesday, we will discuss these designs and select one for transfer to a woodblock. Thursday the container shall be turned in for ring display. They need to be strong enough to support the piece, and embellish the design.
2/D - 3/D ART 10/17-21
Students continue on wrapping figure sculptures, with material. They should have 3 layers by the end of the week.
ADV ART 10/17-10/21
Students will spend a day or two this week with end of quarter cleaning, then continue on the clay models for the bathroom project. Design packets will be added to by the end of the week, and we will visit with our collaborating class at PSU on Tuesday the 25th.

ART I 10/10-10/14
Art I students will spend part of this week working on perspective sketchbook assignment. They are to draw their names in block letters and then create one point perspective on the name. We will be reviewing for the end of 9 week test, which may be Thursday or Friday. Sketchbooks due on Wed.
Wearable Art 10/10-10/14
Rings will be finished and graded by the end of this week. All metal projects thus far will be on 1st 9 week grades.
2/D - 3/D ART 10/10-10/14
Continuing to work on wire armatures for the sculpture project. Armature grades will be given on Wed. the wrapping will be graded on friday. Painting and finishing surface will be early next week. Sketchbooks are due this Thursday, the assignment is to complete a tshirt design for booster club contest.
ADV ART 10/10-10/14
Students are finishing clay models this week for the bathroom project. Grades will be taken at the end of the week.

ART I 10/3- 10/6
Art I students are finishing value still life. May be finished with this drawing Tuesday or Wednesday. Sketchbook assignment is "hard/soft" chose one hard and one soft object and draw them overlapping to show how they feel through value and texture. Due on Thursday.

Continue to solder and form copper rings. If all goes well, they will be due at the end of the week. :)
2/D - 3/D ART 10/3-10/6
Student will turn in sketches and plans for sculpture project on Wed. Students choose style to build figure sculpture in, either Alberto Giacometti or Magdalena Abakanowicz, they need to give 3 new pieces of information and 12 descriptive words with 3 sketches for armature design. Armatures will be built this week. Students need to bring in their own 'skin' for this project.
ADV ART 10/3-10/6
Students are working on sketches and plans for the 'bathroom' project. Sketchbooks due on Tuesday. Wed. students will give presentations on an artist from the Renaissance Period. After sketches are turned in and discussed, we will begin making clay models small scale, work begins on Thursday for this.
